About The Cover

By Jean Dykstra, January 3, 2017

The International Center of Photography’s 2017 exhibitions will explore the way photography impacts social change. To that end, Perpetual Revolution: Photography and Social Change, which opens January 27, is a five-part exhibition focusing on #BlackLivesMatter, gender fluidity, terrorist propaganda, the refugee crisis, and climate change, the theme tackled by visual artist and cultural organizer Rachel Schragis. Her large-scale composite, a detail of which is on our cover, visualizes the impact of the People’s Climate March in 2014.
