Miles Barth Joins Artnet

Photography curator, editor, and writer Miles Barth has joined Artnet Auctions as photography specialist. Barth was previously curator of photography at New York's Rubin Museum of Art, director of publications at the Cygnet Foundation in New York, and the founding curator of the permanent collection at the International Center of Photography. He's written and edited numerous publications on photography including Weegee’s World (1997), also an exhibition he curated at the ICP. Last year, he curated Rising Dragon: Contemporary Chinese Photography at the Katonah Museum of Art. “I am convinced that Artnet Auctions is pushing the envelope to inform and broaden the photography collector base,” says Barth, “and give sellers an important outlet for their inventories. I'm looking forward to contributing my experience and skills to the continued success of the photography activity at Artnet.”
