Noted Hungarian photographer Gábor Kerekes passed away earlier this month after a long battle with cancer; he was 69 years old. A photojournalist as well as a fine art photographer, he was a founding member and artistic director of the Studio of Young Photographers. Kerekes used old photographic techniques as well as Polaroids and digital photography to create images that often explored his interest in the natural sciences.
