United Photo Industries in Brooklyn’s DUMBO neighborhood is unveiling The Fence, a 1,000-foot photo installation, on June 18, in Brooklyn Bridge Park. This is the third annual production of The Fence.
In partnership with Photo District News (PDN), Brooklyn Bridge Park, the Flash Forward Festival, and Atlanta Celebrates Photography (ACP), The Fence will feature the work of more than 40 photographers through October 10. The Fence is also on view in Boston along the Rose F. Kennedy Greenway, and in July it will go on view along the Atlanta Belt.
The Fence at Brooklyn Bridge Park stretches along the Greenway from DUMBO at the north end of the park to Pier 5 at Joralemon Street in the south. The photographs on view focus on the idea of community, with the categories Home, Streets, People, Creatures, and Play.
