On January 13, the Library of Congress is holding a symposium, With Their Own Eyes: Photographers Witness the March on Washington, in conjunction with the exhibition A Day Like No Other: Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington, on view through March 1.

Photographers who were at the march will be at the symposium, which runs from 1 pm to 4 pm, as well as relatives of some photographers who are no longer alive. Speakers at the symposium will include photographer Bob Adleman, Brigette Freed, the widow of Leonard Freed, photographer David Johnson, and Keith Jenkins, director of photography at the National Geographic Society.
