New York’s Department of Transportation’s Urban Art Program and United Photo Industries have created a public photography exhibition on Water Street in Lower Manhattan. One photographer and one curator from each of the four outer boroughs (Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island) joined forces to share a story about his or her own borough in the exhibition New York (Outer Borough) Stories.

Work by Christine Osinski (representing Staten Island) was curated by Paul Moakley, the deputy photo editor of Time Magazine; work by Marisol Díaz (representing the Bronx) was curated by Miriam Romais, executive director of En Foco; work by Irina Rozovsky (representing Brooklyn) was curated by Sam Barzilay, creative director of United Photo Industries; and work by Sol Aramendi (representing Queens) was curated by Hitomi Iwasaki, director of exhibition and curator at the Queens Museum of Art.
