Brian Sholis Joins Cincinnati Art Museum


Critic and curator Brian Sholis has been named the associate curator of photography at the Cincinnati Art Museum. Currently an editor at Aperture, Sholis is a former editor at Artforum magazine and has written for Frieze, The Village Voice and other publications and has contributed to exhibition catalogues published by MoMA, the Whitney Museum, and Guggenheim, and the New Museum, among other institutions. In 2012, Sholis curated The Permanent Way at Apex Art in New York, which juxtaposed contemporary American landscape photographs with documentation of expansion of the railroad in the U.S.
